08:30 - Hotel Pickup
Our open off-road jeep will pick you up at your specified accommodation between 8:30 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. and take you to the first stop of the trip in the south of Koh Samui. As we proceed, we'll collect all the other participants until the entire travel group is complete.
- Hin Ta & Hin Yai
Get ready for an exciting start to today's jungle safari as we make our first stop at Grandfather and Grandmother's Rock in the south of the island. This unique rock formation bears a striking resemblance to male and female genitalia, and our multilingual and trained tour guides will provide you with more information about its prehistory right on-site.
- Guan Yu Shrine
Located on the main road in the south of Koh Samui between Lamai and Hua Thanon, the Guan Yu Shrine is a magnificent temple complex that boasts a 16-meter bronze war statue. Constructed in 2016 by a Chinese islander, this awe-inspiring monument celebrates Chinese heritage and culture. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by an entrance area filled with small souvenir stands and restaurants, adding to the lively atmosphere of this impressive attraction.
- Mummified monk
One of the most unique and fascinating attractions showcasing Thai culture is the mummified monk, Luong Pordaeng. He passed away in 1973 while in a meditative sitting position, and even after more than 30 years, his body displays minimal signs of decay. You can see this incredible sight for yourself at Wat Khunaram temple, located in the southern part of the island, where the monk's preserved remains are on display in a glass case.
- Na Muang Waterfalls
Our next destination is one of the most breathtaking waterfalls in Na Muang, where you can take a refreshing dip and unwind in the natural beauty of the surroundings. This waterfall is one of the few on Koh Samui that boasts a consistent flow of water throughout the year. The picturesque tropical setting is truly one-of-a-kind and has been used as a filming location multiple times, highlighting its striking beauty.
- Lunch
From here, we'll head into the mountains of Samui, traveling in our trusty 4x4 off-road jeep to reach one of the most stunning mountain restaurants on the island. This restaurant boasts a breathtaking view of the coconut island of Koh Samui, providing the perfect backdrop for a delicious and extensive lunch, accompanied by refreshing water. With something to satisfy every taste, you're guaranteed a satisfying meal.
- Magic Garden
After enjoying a satisfying and refreshing break, we'll continue our journey and ascend up to 600 meters above sea level. Our next stop is a visit to the magical and unique garden located in the mountains of Koh Samui. The garden features an incredible collection of hand-carved stone sculptures, figures, and other objects, all crafted by the garden's 77-year-old owner back in 1976. You'll be amazed at the level of creativity and skill that has gone into creating this mesmerizing display.
- Wat Teepangkorn View Point
Our journey continues to even greater heights as we make our way to the highest point on the island, the renowned observation deck and temple, Wat Teepangkorn, located at an elevation of 635 meters. Once there, you'll be treated to a breathtaking 360-degree panoramic view of the entire island, an experience that is sure to take your breath away. In addition to the stunning vistas, you'll also learn about the process of harvesting rubber from the trees, including a demonstration of how the trees are cut to obtain valuable material.
- Wat Plai Laem
One of the most impressive and significant Buddhist temple complexes in Samui is the Wat Plai Laem, which features stunning depictions of Guanyin, the goddess of mercy and compassion. Here, visitors can gain insight into the unique blend of Chinese-Thai beliefs through the temple's beautiful artistic Buddhist themes and architecture. The techniques used to create this awe-inspiring complex are centuries old and are based on ancient beliefs, giving you a glimpse into the rich cultural history of this beautiful region.
- Big Buddha
Since its opening in 1972, the 12-meter-tall Big Buddha has become an iconic symbol of Koh Samui. The statue is located on a small island called Koh Fan in the northeast of Samui, connected to the main island by a bridge. From the island, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the island's coast and the bustling Bangrak pier, making it a must-see destination for those visiting the area.
17:00 - Drop-Off
As the day comes to a close, around 5:00 p.m. we will take you on a scenic bush trail ride before guiding you back to your accommodation. We'll drop off each participant one by one until the entire tour group has safely arrived back at their respective accommodations, marking the end of a memorable and adventurous day on Koh Samui.
